Cozy & Stylish Ways to Refresh Your Home This Fall

Fall is officially here, which means it’s the perfect time to give your home a seasonal refresh. Think warm autumn hues, cozy throw blankets that make you want to curl up indoors, pumpkin-inspired accents, and ambient lighting that sets the mood for crisp evenings.

Yes, it’s all in the details! From the living room to the entryway, small swaps can completely transform the feel of your home for fall. Don’t forget the finishing touches — textured pillows, natural elements (think dried flowers or natural-looking garlands), and chic candles that instantly make any space feel inviting. As you'll read later, even something as simple as switching out your everyday greenery for faux fall trees or garlands can make your space feel instantly cozier. This all contributes to creating an atmosphere that makes you want to savor the season and enjoy the comforts of home.

Just writing this makes me so excited for all the interior projects I have planned this season! To discover more of my favorite fall décor ideas, keep reading.

A Renter-Friendly Way to Hang Your Garlands

As many of you already know, I’m someone who likes to change things up every season. As you can see in this video, I’ve been adding a simple but stylish touch: fall-inspired garlands in the living room.

My little secret? An easy-to-use, renter-friendly Garland Hanger allows me to easily hang up my garlands without the use of nails. All I have to do is quickly assemble the hanger (it takes no more than two minutes!) and tighten the clamp so it stays securely in place. It is truly one of those small home finds that make a big difference.

What’s great about it is that it is versatile and can be used all year round as well. Come December, I’ll be using it for Christmas wreaths and festive garlands, and once spring arrives again, it will be perfect to use for floral decorations. My husband also loves how practical it is!

Add Glam Accents to Your Coffee Table

Looking for more ideas for fall décor? In this video, I switch things up in the living room by using a chocolate brown oak coffee table as a centerpiece. Its sleek, sculptural design adds modernity, while the rich brown finish brings that cozy, down-to-earth feel we’re all looking for this time of year. The best part? Its neutral tone makes it versatile enough to blend seamlessly with any décor style.

I add a touch of glam through the subtle accents I choose: a marble candle holder that adds sophistication, linen throw pillow covers that soften the space, and baby’s breath artificial flowers for an airy, romantic feel. These small touches instantly elevate the neutral fall palette, blending comfort with understated luxury.

Swap Your Green Faux Trees with Fall Trees

One of the quickest, easiest ways to give your home a seasonal refresh is by switching out your greenery. This fall, I swapped my olive tree for a beautiful faux eucalyptus tree with rich autumn tones, as you can see in this video. This instantly added warmth and cozy vibes to the living room.

What I love about faux fall trees and stems is how versatile they are: they bring texture, color, and a seasonal touch without the upkeep of real plants. You can also move them from room to room, cluster them in different corners, or mix them with other florals for extra dimension. Whether it’s a statement tree in the living room or smaller stems styled on a dining table, these pieces give you a polished look with very little effort. Paired with neutral décor, they make a space feel both inviting and, of course, glam!
